02 / Engineering and Delivery
Every phase has a clear technical purpose, documented output and responsible Walnut lead.
The Walnut Method
Smart home installation succeeds when decisions are coordinated before walls, ceilings and finishes are complete. Walnut connects early requirements to final commissioning through one structured lifecycle.
Understand the property, lifestyle, stakeholders, objectives and available drawings.
Review site conditions, electrical points, network requirements and integration constraints.
Coordinate automation, controls, network, lighting, security and user journeys.
Confirm approved devices, quantities, compatibility and delivery sequence.
Execute professional installation with coordinated testing at each stage.
Configure, test and calibrate every agreed system and scene.
Guide homeowners, family members and estate staff through practical use.
Protect performance through remote assistance and scheduled service.
Project Prerequisites
Final high current and low current layouts allow the automation plan to be completed accurately.
A neutral conductor is required at every smart switch point.
Provide a minimum 5 cm switch box depth for appropriate device installation.
Dimmable lighting must use compatible drivers, including 0 to 10V where specified.
Early coordination
We can assess the current project stage and identify the right next technical step.
